Does Playing Games Online Embarrass You??

I have to admit... it did me, but sometimes I just needed an escape and playing online games did that for me. I would turn on a kitchen timer for 30 minutes and play... as long as the door was shut. But not any more. And I can thank my daughter for this. While driving to work one morning, she began listening to an interview with a woman who had suffered a traumatic brain injury (a concussion) that would not heal. It was either commit suicide or do something about it. The video below explains what she did... and now I'm doing it too.

Sounds soooo simple doesn't it.  The good thing is that I'm almost back to where I was at the beginning of week. Have to remember that it is my decision how happy I'm going to be on any given day!

For Just 2 Minutes

If you meditate for even 2 minutes, it seems to pull you away from what is upsetting you... just long enough to making the situation seem not quite so bad.  It happened to me a few days ago.  I stepped back and thought about what I might do to change what was occurring. (Being left at Costco with no money and no credit card. How do I get home?)

All turned out just fine... doesn't it always! ( I was more concerned about my daughter when we left the house, so I gave her my last 20.00 and my credit card.  Hubby had an errand to run and was gone longer than I thought he should.  I over re-acted... yet again)

The Friendly Mirror... Another Power-Up

 You probably don't think that you have one either, but this is a Power-Up that I think that you are going to like. Here's what you have to do... just look in the mirror and find something about your face that you like... maybe it's the color of your eyes or your smile or maybe it's the shape of your eyes... Find something and then let people see it. Personally, I like the shape of my eyes. I have no idea who I inherited the shape but my mom was sure that they had brought her the wrong baby when I was born lol!  So I will go with the eyes...

An Eye Opener!!

 My daughter who is also my Ally, just looked over my shoulder at my Power-Ups and asked where all of my fun Power-Ups were??  I had chosen every single one of the Power-Ups that I had created for Health... and only one for play!  There was one that she actually hated. For some reason I had created one about money and she saw that as a huge problem.  She actually talked me into deleting that one! I didn't want to, but after listening to her reasoning... I had to agree that this was not helping me in the least!  So out it went.

And creating more just for fun Power-Ups in going to be tough! I was brought up to think of fun as something that children could do... adults wasted their time with such trivialities!

Shake Your Body... Another Power-Up for today...

 I honestly didn't think that I had any endorphins in side of me, but apparently any kind of exercise can release them. Maybe I'm not doing the right kind of exercise or listening to the right music... hmmm,  I am listening to Good King Joy and I'm thinking how nice the song would be to skate to!  Now if that doesn't get the endorphins rushing through me... nothing will.

Have You Ever Noticed?? Does This Really Work?

 When I first signed up with SuperBetter, I saw that I was leveling up... I'm at Level 20 right now and I didn't realize that each level was clickable. Well, I know now and I have a lot of reading to catch up with.

Just read Level 6 and it's all about listening to music and how it can affect you. The same goes with losing yourself in a good book. Unfortunately I didn't read this until just a few minutes ago. So, I'm giving it a try right now. I'm going to sit back close my eyes and listen to one song from the Tran Siberian Orchestra and see if I feel any different when the song draws to an end!

                                                   OK...  It was awesome!!!
